Though this year is very much technically not my own first pride, I’ll celebrate, too, considering I’ve finally stopped fully hiding it.
On a very serious note, pride is more important now than ever. I love the gays. I am the gays, and it can be hard to exist comfortably in the current climate, particularly in the United States. The good news is, pride means joy, and it’s something that is not lacking. There is home + safety in community, and I encourage anyone who may be struggling to reach out to someone. <3
